Florida Dental As in Tampa seeks a licensed Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support clinical procedures and patient education. The role requires an EFDA certification and radiography licensure, with a preference for at least one year of dental experience.

The candidate will maintain infection control, document procedures, assist with treatment planning, and help patients understand insurance options and costs. A professional, patient-focused approach is expected.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification is required to perform expanded dental assistant functions.
• Radiography licensure is required upon hire or within 90 days after hire.
• Minimum of one year dental experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist dentist in clinical procedures and treatments.
• Maintain infection control standards and OSHA compliance.
• Document/chart all dental procedures and update medical history.
• Welcome and escort patients in reception and schedule appointments.
• Explain dental treatment plans, insurance benefits and financial options to patients.
• Ensure operatories are stocked with inventory and maintained.
