Yale New Haven Health is seeking a dedicated individual to participate in Long Term Audio Visual monitoring procedures in New Haven, Connecticut. Responsibilities include assisting physicians during Continuous Audio Visual EEG Recording, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates should have high school graduation and prior experience in patient care settings.

Participates in a process of instruction and activity to perform Long Term Audio Visual monitoring via scalp and intracranial electrodes on adult and pediatric patients of the Epilepsy Surgery and Pediatric Monitoring Programs. Prepares equipment and supplies for such procedures. Provides assistance to physicians performing these and similar studies as required. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at YNHH is demonstrated by working with patients and their families based on the 4 principles of PFCC: participation, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a great "First Impression" by demonstrating exemplary customer service skills for all customer groups including patients, families/friends, physicians, staff and support department personnel. Responsibilities include:
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Experience: One to two years experience in a patient care function within a hospital setting, such as PCA, Nurse's Aide or similar position.
Special Skills: Familiarity with computer systems (basic keyboard skills). Self-directed. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. Knowledge of hospital environment.
