Job summary

Driscoll in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking an EEG Technician to perform and assist neurologists with all procedures in the EEG department, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

This pool PRN role requires confidentiality, adherence to hospital policies, and strong communication; bilingual English/Spanish skills are strongly preferred.

You will document exams, maintain equipment, and support process improvements across the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Two years related experience and/or training.
• Must hold R. EEG T certification.
• CLTM certification preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform and/or assist neurologists in all EEG department procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times and adhere to policies.
• Document exams and manage the filing system.
• Assist the Chief EEG Technician as necessary.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; ensure good working order.
• Participate in department and hospital-wide process improvement activities.

General Purpose of Job

Responsible for performing and/or assist the neurologists will all procedures performed in the EEG department.

Education, Experience:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or two (2) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must hold R. EEG T certification

English Language Skills.

• Bilingual strongly preferred (English and Spanish)

Communication & Analysis:

Analyze and interpret complex materials, including business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Write clear reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Present information effectively and respond to questions from various audiences, including managers, clients, customers, and the public.

License, Certification:

• Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T) Certification - Required
• Certified Long-Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM) - Preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing and/or assist the neurologists will all procedures performed in the EEG department.
• Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
• Perform all exams in the EEG department.
• Document exams done in the department.
• Assist the Chief EEG Technician as necessary.
• Maintain an accurate filing system.
• Handle in-patient and out-patient reports and direct them to the appropriate destination.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies.
• Maintain equipment in good working order.
• Participate in department and hospital-wide Process Improvement Activities.
