Qualifications

• Must obtain BLS Certification within 1 month of hire and maintain BLS.
• ABRET credentialing for Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) within two years and maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Evaluations - hook a patient to EEG equipment and start the study, ensuring network access.
• Job Knowledge and Skills - perform neurodiagnostic testing; continue education; ensure patient safety; train new staff; other duties as assigned.
• Lab and Equipment Maintenance - keep equipment clean and in proper working order; troubleshoot and maintain supplies.
• EEG Acquisition - apply and remove electrodes per 10-20 system; document patient history; handle diverse patient populations.
• Documentation and Data Management - enter patient data into Epic and Natus; document events in EEG records.
