Job summary

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is seeking an EEG Tech PRN to perform standard and complex EEG, Nerve Conduction and Evoked Potential recordings, supporting physicians and caring for patients from infant to geriatric in a dynamic Neurology team.

This role involves clerical and technical duties in Neurology, call and PRN coverage, and participation in a mission-driven environment that emphasizes compassionate care and service to the West Marion County community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associates Degree preferred for the role.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required for eligibility.
• No previous experience required; 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex EEG, Nerve Conduction and Evoked Potential recordings.
• Assist physicians with patients from infant to geriatric.
• Provide call and PRN coverage as assigned.
• Handle clerical and technical duties in Neurology.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs standard and complex Electroencephalogram (EEG), Nerve Conduction and EvokedResponse recordings and assists physicians, as requested, with patients aged infant to geriatric. Provides call and PRN coverage in areas as instructed. Is responsible for clerical and technical areas of Neurology. Performs the follow as well: Level I: able to perform diagnostic testing as follows: Electroencephalogram (EEG): Adult - Infant, and Cerebral death. Evoked Potential (NCV): BAER, µ&L Nerve Conduction, F & H Waves, Blink Reflex, repetitive nerve Conduction, U&L SSER, VER, EMG set-up. Level II: able to perform all aspects of EEG and Evoked Potential diagnostic testing as outlined above.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED required
• Associates Degree preferred
• BLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• No experience required; 1 year of experience preferred
