Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist in delivering classroom-support activities.
  • Communicate clearly with teachers, staff, and students while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Assist in preparing and implementing school-wide activities and materials.
  • Participate in in-service training and staff meetings as needed.
  • Support students with personal, safety and wellbeing needs and help substitute teachers as needed.
  • Carry out behavioral programs and expectations for students in the absence of the teacher.
  • Assist with clerical tasks and building routines (recess, lunch, bus duty).
  • Collaborate with teachers and supervisors to organize instructional materials.
