Job summary

Rush Creek Elementary in Maple Grove, Minnesota is seeking an Educational Support Professional - Instructional (Temporary) to assist teaching staff and support students with classroom instruction.

The role requires helping with academic and social-emotional needs, supervising students, and assisting in small-group activities. This is a part-time, temporary position with a 6-hour daily schedule through 11/20/2026.

Qualifications

Job Description

Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and confidence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning by assisting teaching staff and student with instructional support in the classroom.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

• Support the academic and social-emotional needs of students.


• Assist the Principal, School Counselors, and Instructional Assistants with social-emotional learning and behavior support to individual students.


• Supervise students in large group situations in classroom and other areas of the building or small groups.


• Work with students individually or in small groups instructionally.


• Assist in small group assessments and data management as it relates to student work in the areas of reading and math.


• Perform functions associated with classroom protocols.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Bargaining unit : Educational Support Professionals

Salary : Classification 2; View salary grid on the respective bargaining unit listed above, accessible via our Employee Contracts page

Work schedule : 10/5/2026 - 11/20/2026. Monday through Friday. Start/End dates can be adjusted if the student evaluation process ends before 11/20/26.

FTE : 6 hours per day
