VyTalent Solutions is seeking an Educational Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a 2026-2027 school year in Logan, WV. This local contract role offers full-time hours (35 hours per week) at a rate up to $35.00 per hour, with a focus on ASL interpretation across general and special education settings.

The ideal candidate holds WV educational interpreting registration/credential and a qualifying EIPA score (or RID/NIC certification).

Qualifications

Valid West Virginia educational interpreting registration/credential.
Qualified EIPA score (or RID/NIC certification) required.
Prior educational interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide high‑quality ASL interpretation for deaf or hard‑of‑hearing students in general education, special education, and extracurricular school settings.
Facilitate clear communication between students, peers, teachers, and school staff.
Adapt to varying communication modes (e.g., ASL, Pidgin Signed English, or total communication) based on student IEP specifications.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, DHH specialists, and educational teams to ensure accessible learning environments.
Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters.
