Job summary

Soliant is seeking an Educational Sign Language Interpreter to support hearing-impaired learners in a Kansas City, KS area school. This contract, in-person or hybrid (at least four days on site), centers on facilitating communication among students, staff, and families using ASL.

The interpreter will assist in SAILS and STEPs programs, contribute to inclusive classroom experiences, and collaborate with teachers and specialists to clarify topics for students needing support.

Qualifications

• ASL proficiency and experience as an interpreter in educational settings.
• Ability to work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing or have limited/no verbal communication.
• SLI certification or equivalent to support evaluations.
• Strong collaboration with a multidisciplinary educational team.
• Reliable attendance for onsite or hybrid assignments (minimum four days per week).
