Job summary

The Catamount Educational Farm Production Coordinator at the University of Vermont oversees vegetable production and helps develop an overall farm plan to support CALS undergraduate programs, CSA, farm stand, and institutional produce sales. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in plant science or related field and 3+ years of vegetable farm management experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational and teaching skills.
• Valid driver's license; ability to operate farm equipment safely.
• Vermont Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain before first growing season.
• Working knowledge of food safety and farm safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage vegetable production and create/implement a farm plan supporting CALS undergraduate programs.
• Support CSA, farm stand, and institutional produce sales.
• Assist on-farm researchers with plot preparation and experiment implementation.
• Provide classroom and field instruction support for ALE and related courses on site.
