Job description

About BZ Media

BZ Media is a mission-driven organization focused on creating impactful, story-driven content that brings Israel and the Hebrew Bible to life for young, non-denominational Christian audiences. Through digital content, creator partnerships, and immersive experiences, we aim to bring meaningful narratives to life and build a growing, engaged faith-centered community.

Position Overview

We're looking for an Educational Content Manager who is passionate about Scripture, intellectually curious, and eager to help young American Christians experience the Bible in deeper and more transformative ways.

This role blends Biblical knowledge, content development, pedagogical strategy, and immersive educational experiences. Working across BZ Media’s creative and educational teams—through both digital content and in-person experiences—you'll play a key role in helping audiences encounter God's Word in deeper and more meaningful ways. On the Education side, you will provide regular Biblical research support, develop educational resources, assist BZ Media’s thought leadership, and support educational experiences in Israel. Initially, you will observe and assist these experiences, helping Christians understand Scripture through its historical, cultural, and Hebraic context. Over time, you will be able and expected to lead these experiences. As part of the Creative team, you'll help bring Scripture to life through compelling storytelling by researching Biblical themes, writing scripts and educational content, and collaborating on creative projects that connect audiences to the people, places, and stories of the Bible.

You'll report directly to the Creative Director and work with cross-functional teams across the organization to develop content, support immersive experiences, lead regular Bible studies with creators and ensure every project reflects BZ Media's mission of bringing Scripture to life through the Holy Land.

This is an ideal role for someone who loves uncovering the Bible’s timeless wisdom, possesses excellent writing, research and teaching skills, is capable of communicating compelling Biblical answers to life's biggest questions, and is passionate about exploring creative ways to help young American Christians experience the Bible.

Who You Are

You're a Biblical educator at heart. You have a strong understanding of Scripture and its Jewish context, and you're passionate about helping Christians discover the Holy Land through the Bible’s Hebraic historical, cultural, and spiritual roots. You have the ability to understand and conceptualize both the Hebrew Bible and New Testament, speaking authentically to young Christians who are seeking to deepen their faith and understanding. You believe the stories of Scripture still speak powerfully to the questions people are asking today.

You're both a teacher and a storyteller. You love explaining complex Biblical ideas in ways that are clear, engaging, and memorable. Whether you're teaching about a Biblical passage, brainstorming a new content series, or writing a social media script, you're always looking for creative ways to help people experience Scripture with fresh eyes.

You're a strong writer with a creative mindset. You enjoy researching Biblical themes, developing content ideas, and writing scripts that connect timeless Biblical truth to modern audiences. You're energized by the challenge of answering life's biggest questions through compelling storytelling rooted in the Bible.

You’re a disciplined researcher and a careful interpreter. You enjoy locating trustworthy sources, synthesizing scholarship, and developing clear, well-supported explanations. You are attentive to textual detail, but you also know that research is most valuable when it inspires others to expand and deepen their walk with God.

You’re a builder as well as a teacher. You enjoy taking an educational vision and turning it into a structured curriculum, training program, research brief, teaching guide, or repeatable methodology. You can move between long-term educational projects and the recurring research needs of a fast-moving creative organization, managing multiple assignments without sacrificing intellectual rigor or clarity.

You're collaborative and curious. You enjoy working alongside writers, producers, creators, and thought leaders to bring ideas to life. You're excited to contribute to the creative process, welcome feedback, and continually grow as both an educator and communicator.

You have a teacher's heart. Whether you're creating digital content or helping lead an immersive experience in Israel, you find joy in helping others understand Scripture more deeply and inspiring them to connect with the people, places, and stories of the Bible in transformative ways.

Above all, you're passionate about deepening young Christians’ connection to the Holy Land by bringing Scripture to life—through creative storytelling, meaningful education, and experiences that help them encounter the Bible in fresh and lasting ways.

What You'll Do
Biblical Content Development
  • Research Biblical passages, historical context, and the stories of Israel and the Jewish people throughout Scripture.

  • Write engaging content for social media, digital campaigns, and other storytelling initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop content that helps Christians better understand Scripture through its historical and Jewish context.

Biblical Research & Educational Development

  • Prepare Biblical-research briefs, source materials, and Biblical-topic rundowns that support BZ Media’s leaders and Creative team in developing regular Biblical content.

  • Identify texts, ideas, historical material, and scholarly insights that can inform projects such as Bible-reading plans, educational resources, and BZ Media thought leadership content.

  • Develop curricula, training materials, teaching guides, and other educational resources that support BZ Media’s pedagogy and methodology in reaching wider audiences, including through training future BZ Media educators, equipping communal and ministry leaders to apply BZ Media’s research and methodology, and creating turnkey educational guides for creator-led trips to Israel.

  • Help review Biblical and historical content for accuracy, clarity, context, and alignment with BZ Media’s educational approach.

Biblical Education & Experiences
  • Train extensively with BZ Media’s leadership to become a Biblical educator capable of helping lead immersive educational experiences in Israel for Christian creators and leaders.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the geography, history, culture, and Hebraic context of Scripture and ways to present it to Christian audiences.

  • Help participants connect Biblical teaching with the physical places and stories found throughout Scripture.

  • Observe and apprentice with BZ Media’s existing educators on creator trips and other educational experiences in Israel.

  • Once fully trained, lead occasional creator trips to Israel annually, including trips that may encompass weekend programming.

  • Help participants connect Biblical teaching with the physical places and stories found throughout Scripture.

  • Prepare teaching materials, site briefings, participant resources, and other educational content for immersive experiences.

Creative Collaboration
  • Partner closely with the Creative Director and creative team to develop new storytelling initiatives.

  • Work closely with the CEO on biblical research, curriculum development, pedagogy, educator training, and other special educational and thought-leadership projects.

  • Collaborate across departments to support campaigns, educational projects, and special initiatives.

  • Contribute ideas that strengthen BZ Media's mission of helping people encounter Scripture in fresh and meaningful ways.

Qualifications

Firm knowledge of Scripture and its Hebraic roots, with the ability to teach Biblical concepts through their historical, cultural, and Jewish context. Strong existing command of Hebrew Biblical texts, as well as comfortable studying and learning the New Testament as a way to better contextualize Israel and Jewish tradition for young Christians. Experience studying or teaching the historical and cultural background of Scripture is preferred.

Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience writing educational, faith-based, or digital content that makes complex Biblical ideas engaging and accessible.

Experience developing curricula, lesson plans, teaching guides, training materials, research briefs, or other structured educational resources is strongly preferred.

Creative storyteller with a teacher's heart who enjoys developing fresh content ideas, writing scripts, leading Bible studies or educational experiences, and helping others discover the timeless wisdom of Scripture.

Experience creating content for social media or digital platforms. Previous travel to Israel or familiarity with Jewish history and Second Temple Judaism is a plus.
