Job summary

A family-owned public works contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on educational construction projects in California. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in similar roles and strong knowledge of construction methods and safety standards. Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Superintendent or similar role on educational construction projects (DSA/K-12).
• Proven track record managing field operations for multi-million-dollar construction projects in the education sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety standards, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction operations to meet schedule, safety, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure seamless workflow.
• Manage daily project logistics, including labor and material delivery.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to resolve field issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to enforce quality control standards.
• Prepare daily reports, track progress, and document activities.
• Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists and final inspections.
