Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess Associates degree or higher OR 48 credit hours from an accredited college/university; or pass the Para Pro test or

- Certified Staff: District Transfer requests will be made on a form provided by the District, which is available in the Human Resources Department or LCPS website. The request will indicate the position to which the certified employee desires to be assigned and the school desired. Certified employees must submit a separate transfer request for each position once the position is posted. All certified employees requesting transfers to a position for which they are qualified may request an interview with the immediate supervisor and will be granted an interview for the posted position. Administrative initiated transfers will be assigned first. All transfers must be approved by the Chief of Human Resources/Designee. (NEA-LC Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article Seven, Assignments and Transfers)
- Classified Staff: All transfers of existing staff will be made to facilitate the best educational program for students of the District and the total District programs and needs, with a rational basis in fact, taking into consideration qualifications and seniority. Classified staff seeking lateral transfers to another work location with the same job classification and at the same range may request a voluntary transfer for a position that has been posted. All classified employees must be in their position for no less than 1 year to be eligible for a voluntary transfer. (CSEC-LC Bargaining Agreement, Article Six, Assignments/Transfers/Promotions)
