Job Description Summary

Nursing Programs at Santa Fe College provides quality nursing education that is student-oriented, accessible, and based on the healthcare needs of our community. Our Nursing programs offer 3-degree programs: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), an Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN), and a Licensed Practical Nursing to Associate in Science in Nursing Bridge program. Additionally, Nursing Programs offer postsecondary adult vocational courses for Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Practical Nursing which prepare students for better career opportunities. The Nursing Tutor will provide tutoring support to students in these Nursing Programs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides tutoring to students in Nursing programs.
  • Strictly honors the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
  • Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required

Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing with professor recommendation, and taking six (6) or more credit hours.

Additional Requirements
  • A criminal background check will be conducted.
  • The successful applicant must maintain and demonstrate mastery of the subject matter designated to tutor.
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Preferred

Tutoring experience is preferred.

  • Multi-task – ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
