Job summary

The position requires at least 48 semester hours of college study, or a Bachelor’s in Education or equivalent, plus an assessment demonstrating knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics, and experience in the same or similar line of work.

Qualifications

• Education: Completed at least 48 semester hours of study at an institution of higher education.
• Assessment test should demonstrate knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics.
• Experience should be in the same line of work or one which is basically similar.
• Substitution of Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent meets basic requirements for the position.

• Create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment for students and staff.
• Support the holistic development through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experiences.
• Assist in fulfilling the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission and responsibilities.
