Job summary

Gunpowder Valley Conservancy in Baltimore County, Maryland is seeking a full-time Program Director to lead Education and Restoration programs, including the flagship Clear Creeks Project. The role focuses on habitat restoration, land preservation, and environmental education within the Gunpowder watershed.

The position offers full-time, exempt status with salary ranging from $55,965 to $71,800 based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement.

• Experience coordinating education/restoration programs or similar projects
• Ability to manage staff and contractors
• Detail-oriented with capacity to handle multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Direct Education & Restoration programs, including the Clear Creeks Project
• Lead conservation garden program and manage staff/contractors
• Develop partnerships with nonprofits, HOAs, businesses, and community groups
• Manage staff, oversee timesheets, hiring, training, and evaluations
• Lead grant reporting and work with grant writer to develop new grants
