Baltic Street Wellness Solutions seeks a Supported Education Counselor for a full-time role in Brooklyn, NY. You will provide state-of-the-art Wellness & Recovery Supported Education services to young and older adults and support educational goals identified by clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in Employment or Education Counseling for adults in behavioral health settings.
• Specialized skills in Educational Development, Assessment, and retention services.
• Ability to independently make informed decisions that directly impact education outcomes for participants.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience as a Peer Advocate or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals by providing academic and vocational education preparedness planning services that develop steps towards education goals.
• Contact schools and supportive resources to develop networks and increase educational support resources.
• Serve as a liaison between individuals, schools, and community agencies.
• Perform various programmatic and administrative tasks including outreach, intake, data collection, and case records maintenance.
• Maintain client records per policies and procedures.
• Facilitate school readiness workshops and education counseling including financial aid assistance.
• Facilitate group meetings and workshops and share recovery experiences.
