Job summary

Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) invites applications for an education and event program planner. The role focuses on planning and coordinating seminars, on-demand and breakfast programs, networking events, and related administrative tasks.

You will research vendors, update publications and contracts, oversee on-site logistics, and ensure high-quality programs for accounting and business professionals at the state level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Communications, Hospitality or Marketing.
• Minimum 3 years of customer service and event planning experience.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and serve as contact for education programs and events.
• Develop processes to select courses, vendors, and speakers to present at assigned educational programs.
• Coordinate programs, events, speakers, facility, catering, contracts and onsites.
• Develop relationships with vendors to provide commission-based programs.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts for facility, catering, audiovisual, hotel and other needs.
• Maintain program files and process transactions related to education and events.
