RAND's Economics, Sociology and Statistics (ESS) department invites Education Policy Researchers to contribute to research on career and technical education and education-to-workforce transitions. RAND researchers lead and contribute to projects that deliver objective, rigorous evidence to inform policymakers, state education agencies, federal agencies, and funders.

Qualifications

• Strong training in quantitative research methods.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, inclusive team.
• Experience communicating complex analyses to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute rigorous empirical research on education-to-workforce transitions.
• Link and analyze state administrative data from K-12, postsecondary, and workforce systems.
• Apply causal inference and advanced quantitative methods to evaluate programs.
• Publish findings in reports and peer-reviewed outlets; present to stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals and cultivate relationships with funders and agencies.
• Mentor junior researchers and foster a collaborative research environment.
