Payson Unified District is seeking Paraprofessionals for Regular Education and Special Education positions in Payson, Arizona. Immediate starting date with duties including assisting instructors, supervising students, and supporting daily classroom activities.

Qualifications include a HS diploma/GED with higher education, 60 college credits, or AZ Paraprofessional Exam, plus CPR/First Aid, and an IVP fingerprint clearance card within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of: HS Diploma/GED + Assoc’s or higher; 60 college credits; or AZ Paraprofessional Exam.
• Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.
• Possess or obtain valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Complies with HIPAA and FERPA confidentiality requirements.
• Develops positive relations with students, parents, staff and the public.
• Assists with instruction in a classroom for regular and SPED students.
• Supervises students when assigned.
• Assists in school activities and field trips.
• Performs clerical duties and works with teachers and staff.
• May assist in daily personal hygiene and feeding of SPED students.
• Performs playground, cafeteria and bus duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
