Job summary

AoPS Academy in Pleasanton seeks an Associate Director to help lead administrative and logistical operations while teaching weekly math and language arts classes. The role partners with the Campus Director on hiring and training part-time staff, mentors instructors, and cultivates a strong campus culture to support high student retention.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with teaching experience and outstanding communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, education or related field preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred in math or language arts.
• Strong content knowledge in math and language arts.
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience with advanced K–12 students.
• Strong organizational and priority management skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach AoPS curriculum in dynamic, participation-oriented classes and manage the classroom.
• Participate in the hiring and training of part-time staff.
• Assist with campus administrative, logistical, and customer service operations.
• Support campus enrollment and sales by meeting with prospective families to assess fit.
• Counsel current students and families to provide student support.
• Help design and implement campus community activities to boost retention.
