Job Summary

Plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the educational programs for appropriate nursing unit clusters, including community, orientation, and in-service for professional development. Assists in developing programs to meet the Joint Commission standard requirements for education. Participates in direct nursing care.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing unless otherwise approved by the Director
  • Minimum Work Experience: 2 years in hospital clinical setting, including Trauma (ER)
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association Instructor certification (identifies the employee as both an Instructor and Provider). For Trauma:
    • Registered Nurse
    • CPR-BCLS
    • ACLS
    • NIHSS
    • ENPC and/or PALS prior to completion of unit orientation
    • TNCC within 18 months of hire
    • TNCC Instructor within 2 years of hire
    • ENPC Instructor within 2 years of hire
