Monitors and assists with annual recertification and ongoing competencies. Functions as a clinical and educational resource. Integrates information from internal and external sources in order to assist staff with development and implementation of evidence-based practice. Provides individual consultations and instruction. Maintains personal skill set, as appropriate, to establish and maintain credibility with staff. Accepts personal responsibility for own professional development. Supports lifelong learning of healthcare personnel in an environment that facilitates continuous learning. Serves on house wide committees and CQI teams. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration by coordinating educational endeavors with other departments. Assists with development and revisions of patient-care policies, procedures, and protocols. Coordinates the education for implementation of new equipment, devices, and medical supplies. Participates in the evaluation process. Provides annual assessment of staff educational needs and implements plan of action based on assessment.
