Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies in Washington, DC (preferred) seeks a Senior Program Officer for Education Grantmaking. The SPO will collaborate with the Senior Director of the Policy and Public Understanding sub-portfolio to develop and execute policy agendas that advance equity in education.

The role will involve assessing investment opportunities, managing grantee progress and learnings, and providing strategic support to grantees to help them reach their goals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Director of the Policy and Public Understanding sub-portfolio to develop and execute policy agendas for education grantmaking.
• Assess potential investment opportunities and manage grantee progress and learnings.
• Provide strategic support to grantees to help them reach their goals.
• Manage internal priority-setting for team-wide policy goals and tracking of progress.
• Work closely with Education sub-portfolios (High Quality Instructional Materials, Professional Learning, Teacher Workforce, School System Partnerships and Research) and with Communications and Policy and Advocacy teams.
