AVI Foodsystems in Clinton, South Carolina, is seeking an energetic Food Service Director for our Education Accounts. You will lead daily operations, manage budgets, and drive service quality for a multi-operation site.

The role requires 3+ years in food service management, culinary background, strong budgeting and leadership skills, plus excellent communication. This hands-on leader will mentor teams and partner with clients to deliver exceptional foodservice in an educational setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of food service management experience.
• Background as a chef or trained in culinary arts.
• Proven success in managing and developing teams.
• Budgeting and interpretation of financial results.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead client meetings and quarterly reviews.
• Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Hands-on leadership and high energy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main communicator and day-to-day client contact.
• Plan, organize and direct work of the food service team.
• Provide leadership to ensure food quality and safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain budgets including purchasing and staffing.
• Approve food orders and manage inventory to minimize costs.
• Monitor budget compliance and adjust as needed.
• Participate in interviewing and developing team members.
• Lead meetings and provide direction for timely decisions.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration.
