Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment. You will clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and other designated areas, sweep and mop floors, empty trash, and maintain safe, orderly spaces in accordance with ABM and regulatory standards.

No high school diploma is required and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• One year of prior similar work experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned area, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, mop floors in designated areas.
• Regularly check trash receptacles and empty as needed.
• Notify lead cleaner or manager concerning repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with clients and staff.
• Clean interior partitions, glass, windows, and mirrors.
• Move furniture and equipment to cleaning areas as needed.
