Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school or college campus environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas; sweeping, mopping, trash removal, dusting, and maintaining clean surfaces. Follow safety procedures and communicate with supervisors and staff; assist with seasonal tasks and minor repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and stairs.
• Sweep, mop and remove debris; empty trash in designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Communicate with lead cleaner or manager about repairs or building needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and common areas; assist with seasonal tasks as needed.
