This role supports CDP in Bethesda, MD, delivering high-quality training and education for military clinicians and providers. Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication, customer service, and technical skills

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reports, meeting minutes and correspondence.
  • Create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Assist in scheduling, staffing, and managing training events.
  • Prepare documentation for continuing education certification for training events.
  • Provide technical support to training event attendees.
  • After training, ensure CE credits and certifications are met.
  • Provide customer service to training attendees, faculty, and others.
  • Prepare and provide reporting data for quarterly and annual reports.
  • Assist with creation and publishing of digital publications and multimedia content.
  • Assist with creation of long form and short form videos.

HJF is seeking an Education Coordinator to perform a wide range of administrative and clerical duties for a department or department manager, including supporting the design and creation of multimedia resources (video demonstrations, social media content, etc.). They report to and their work is guided by a Project Manager or Program Manager.

This position will be in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences' Consortium for Defense Psychology (CDP), which is based in Bethesda, MD. The Education Coordinator will assist with activities related to CDP's mission, which is to lead the development of a community of military culturally mindful and clinically competent providers through the delivery of high-quality training and education, the convening of experts, and the dissemination of research-based treatment and the latest topics in military behavioral health. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation provides administrative and management support to the Consortium. CDP strives to be the central hub for the Military Health System (MHS) in the development and implementation of training and education to clinicians in order to ensure that all service members, veterans, and their families receive quality behavioral healthcare that meets their unique needs.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.

  • Prepare reports, meeting minutes and correspondence.
  • Create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Assist in scheduling, staffing, and managing training events.
  • Prepare documentation for continuing education certification for training events.
  • Provide technical support to training event attendees.
  • Following training events, ensure requirements for continuing education (CE) credits are met for each attendee and prepare CE certifications and documentation.
  • Provides customer service to all stakeholders, such as training event attendees, training faculty, and others, including preparing, sending, and responding to correspondence regarding training events.
  • Prepare and provide relevant reporting data for quarterly, annual, and other regular reports.
  • Assist with creation, recording, editing and/or publishing of digital publications, videos, audio content (e.g. podcast episodes), storyboards and other content.
  • Assist with creation of long form and short form videos.
  • Assist with social media content creation (e.g. posts, reels, stories, captions, etc.).
  • Attendance of and participation in required training for the role.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Education and Experience
  • Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate skills in a number of software packages, including ability to remotely trouble-shoot technical issues, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative (Photoshop and Illustrator) suite, and online conferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom).
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work well with others, identify and resolve problems, and deliver results as a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
Work Environment
  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
Compensation
  • The salary range for this position is $61,000-$67,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
