Job summary

EDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL seeks a dedicated Special Education Aide to support students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom in Nevada, TX. You will implement classroom programs, assist with behavior management, and help with instructional tasks under the direction of certified staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Texas Educational Aide Certificate. Prior experience with children is preferred, with strong communication and adaptability to individual student needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of college may be considered.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom and manage inventory and records.
• Supervise students during school day including lunchroom, bus and playground.
• Assist with student physical needs and behavior management as directed by teacher.
• Protect confidentiality and follow safety procedures as assigned.
