Job summary

KidsPeace is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Education Aide for their KidsHaven program in Bethlehem, PA. The role involves assisting the Education Facilitator in delivering educational instruction and managing the learning environment for unaccompanied migrant children. Aiming to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care, the ideal candidate should have educational experience, must be 21 or older, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Compensation is $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of paid experience within an educational setting preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Verified educational level for those educated outside the USA.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and Child Abuse History Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Education Facilitator in delivering educational instruction.
• Provide 1:1 or small group assistance throughout the school day.
• Assist in managing the learning environment and supervising the UCs.

Position Summary

KidsPeace is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Education Aide for an immediate opening within our KidsHaven program. Located in Bethlehem, PA, this program provides essential care and support to unaccompanied migrant children as they navigate reunification and acclimation. You will work with children who have experienced trauma, loss, and major transitions, delivering culturally responsive and trauma-informed care that promotes safety, trust, and wellbeing. The Bilingual Education Aide - KidsHaven is responsible for assisting the Education Facilitator in the overall delivery of educational instruction, 1:1 or small group assistance, and other classroom assignments throughout the school day. The Education Aide assists in the overall management of the learning environment and assists in the direct supervision of the UCs when assigned.

Shifts Available

• Full time
• Day Shift 7am-3pm

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of paid experience within an educational setting preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Verified educational level for those educated outside the USA. Some college-level education preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency—reading, writing, and speaking required
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and Child Abuse History Clearance (processed by KidsPeace).
• Must pass a physical and drug screening (covered by KidsPeace).Must complete all KidsPeace-sponsored training.
