Lake Michigan College is seeking a dedicated Adjunct Instructor for the Arts and Sciences department. This part-time role requires in-person instruction at the Benton Harbor, Michigan campus. The adjunct instructor will utilize student-centered methods to teach the courses as per the educational mission of the College.
Applicants must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications. The position focuses on maintaining academic standards and providing guidance to students, ensuring a quality educational experience.
The Adjunct Instructor Pools are for applicants who are interested in teaching in the future as a (part-time) adjunct instructor for one of our departments. The pools are always open for applications, but no immediate openings are guaranteed. Department chairs review approved applicants when a need arises. Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College, except for specific retirement program cases; otherwise, employment is through Edustaff, LLC.

Uses student-centered instruction to sustain the specific courses and curricula mandated by the educational mission and goals of the College. Requires in‑person instruction on site at the Benton Harbor, Michigan campus.
Other duties as assigned.
Under the direct supervision of the Department Chair, each Adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and fiscal requirements inherent in his/her position.
Master’s degree or higher in relevant discipline or subfield, or Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in relevant discipline or subfield.
$61 per hour.
