Job summary

You will contribute advanced editorial expertise to create, coordinate and disseminate news that enhances the university’s reputation and engages key stakeholders.

Reporting to the senior director of strategic communications, you will help ensure continuity in day-to-day newsroom operations and exercise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, English or related field plus two years professional newsroom/PR experience.
• Ability to identify sources for news stories.
• Ability to develop communication strategy and management functions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary editorial partner for the university’s news and strategic communications operation.
• Contribute advanced editorial expertise to creation, coordination and dissemination of news and information.
• Provide continuity for day-to-day newsroom operations and exercise editorial authority in support of priorities.
