Job summary

Deepgram is seeking an editor to build and lead an editorial function that translates complex AI and voice tech insights into compelling narratives. You will work closely with the CEO, CMO, and subject matter experts to craft executive posts, customer stories, explainers, and recurring series that position Deepgram as a defining voice in voice AI.

You’ll develop a newsroom-style cadence, interview researchers and engineers, and create repeatable formats that elevate quality while adapting

Qualifications

• 8+ years in editorial, content, journalism, or a related field with significant experience creating thoughtful content around complex technology.
• A body of work that proves it: you can point to pieces that built a genuine point of view, not just filled a calendar.
• Taste: knowledge of what’s credible and how to make technical work engaging without flattening it into generic marketing.
• Exceptional writing and editing across executive essays, customer stories, explainers, newsletters—with high clarity and craft.

Responsibilities

• Build editorial strategy and a content calendar aligned with Deepgram’s narrative and key messages.
• Develop editorial themes around voice AI, enterprise AI, model development, and customer impact.
• Interview researchers, engineers, product people, and customers to surface insights.
• Write, edit, and produce core narrative materials across formats: executive posts, essays, customer stories, explainers, newsletters, launches.
• Create repeatable editorial formats that reinforce Deepgram’s narrative over time.
• Make technical depth accessible and compelling for diverse audiences.
• Support major moments and events, including the fall event.
• Partner with communications, product marketing, brand, design, video, and demand generation.
• Build lightweight editorial processes to raise quality without heavy overhead.
