Paramount's The Free Press is seeking Editorial Assistants to support the editorial team, working closely with writers and editors to help produce the journalism our readers depend on every day. This role is for someone with ambition, a tireless work ethic, and belief in The Free Press founding mission.

They will have the highest standards for their work and solid attention to detail. This role requires early mornings, late nights, and weekends where necessary, with the opportunity to contribute

• Help write our daily newsletter with punchy, compelling copy that sells our stories and shows their relevance.
• Assist in assigning essential stories by liaising with writers, sources and experts our readers want to hear from.
• Pitch timely ideas and read submissions from contributors; assist the editorial team with administrative tasks.
• Load and publish stories to the website, ensuring proper formatting and timely posting.

Additional Information

Hiring Salary Range: $67,000.00 - 75,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
