The Utah Jazz & Utah Mammoth are seeking an experienced Editor/Producer for our broadcasts, based in Salt Lake City. A minimum of 2+ years shooting and editing sports content is required.

Proficiency with Sony FX3/FX6 and Adobe Premiere is essential; teamwork and strong interpersonal skills are a must for collaboration with Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth producers. On-site full-time role with the Smith Entertainment Group, requiring flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Editor/Producer experience in sports broadcasts.
• Expert knowledge of Sony camera equipment and Adobe Premiere.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• On-call availability to shoot stories, practice and post-practice interviews, and game days content.
• Edit high-quality video content for broadcasts.
• Collaborate within a team environment with producers for Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth.
• Ideate concepts for varied platforms and shoot/edit for pregame, game, and postgame.
• Manage project from pre to post production and assist in other production areas.

Duties & Responsibilities

• On-call availability to shoot stories, practice and post-practice interviews, and on game days: skate-around and in-game content.
• Edit high-quality video content.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ideate concepts for varied platforms.
• Shoot and edit content for pregame, game, and postgame broadcasts.
• See project from pre to post production.
• Able to help in many areas of production when needed.
• Tag and log video content.
• Keep track of equipment.
• Take notes and execute in an on-time fashion.

• Accept other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as an Editor/Producer, with expert-level knowledge of Sony camera equipment, and Adobe Premiere.
• Knowledge of NHL and NBA is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Ideal candidate will be an organized and efficient worker, used to juggling multiple projects at the same time.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Position will be based in Salt Lake City. Remote work (full or part-time) is not an option.
• Protect the reputation of the company.
• Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule that will include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Physical Demands

• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• Ability to ice-skate a plus.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
