Job summary

Inizio Evoke is seeking an Editor for our San Francisco office to support promotional, digital, and medical communications with AMA style accuracy.

The role involves copyediting, fact checking, and proofreading, reporting to an Editorial Manager, and collaboration across creative and medical teams. A bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of editorial experience are preferred; healthcare marketing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in communications or health sciences.
• 1–2 years of editorial experience preferred.
• Healthcare marketing or medical communications experience a plus.
• Excellent eye for detail and strong written/verbal skills.
• Ability to learn and apply AMA style and brand guidelines.
• Willing to work extra hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Copyedit to ensure consistency with AMA, client, and house style guidelines.
• Types of work include promotional ads, websites, PR, and social content.
• Fact check information against source material for accuracy.
• Check changes for correctness and consistency.
• Validate reference lists against provided references.
• Proofread word-for-word and evaluate layout issues.
• Update style guides for specific brands and post-review updates.
