Job summary

FTI Consulting, Inc. is seeking Applied Scientists to develop AI/ML solutions for complex disputes, investigations and litigations.

You’ll prototype, validate, and implement end-to-end AI/ML systems on client data, applying LLMs via Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock and building RAG pipelines and semantic search. You will contribute to evaluating new technologies, share results with clients and colleagues, and help drive adoption of AI across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical, relevant experience building NLP/IR/ML systems from ideation to production.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
• High level of analytical programming competency (Python, R).
• Hands-on development experience with LLMs, deep learning NLP models and traditional ML techniques.
• Ability to travel to clients and FTI offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prototype, validate, and implement AI/ML solutions on diverse client datasets.
• Apply the latest LLMs in Azure OpenAI and AWS Bedrock to tasks like summarization, classification, entity extraction, and text-to-query generation.
• Develop RAG pipelines, semantic search, and hybrid search.
• Create and implement new metrics, evaluation pipelines, and internal training/test datasets.
• Survey, test, and critique use of emerging technologies to enhance existing solutions and develop new capabilities.
