Job summary

Front Door Defense seeks a Software Engineer to own the edge data ingestion platform and telemetry for high-scale real-time insights. You will architect factory edge services, backend pipelines, and drive petabyte-scale data access for ML-driven analytics.

You will collaborate with ML teams to feed GPU-based platforms and enable automated metal 3D printing systems with robust data quality and performance. LA-based role, strong problem-solving required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing robust data pipeline software and backend services.
• Proficiency with modern languages (C++, Rust, Go, Java).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a horizontally scalable platform ingesting millions of sensor data points per second.
• Deliver high-quality data services for real-time and historical print data access.
• Develop durable, efficient database solutions for real-time queries and analytics.
• Create and operate data pipelines for petabyte-scale telemetry data.
• Write, test, and deploy reliable software to improve automation and data quality.
• Perform system calibrations and monitor health and performance of printing systems.
