Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Edge Metro Capacity Delivery in Atlanta, GA. You’ll lead large-scale network infrastructure migrations, coordinating among Site Reliability Engineering, Network Planning, and engineering teams to move traffic safely across generations of Google’s global backbone.

You’ll plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and clearly communicate tradeoffs. Expect AI/ML tools to streamline execution and maintain latency SLOs during migrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in the networking, data center, or telecommunications industry.
• Experience in program communications, execution, and project planning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex network migration lifecycles, safely moving large-scale edge traffic flows to next-generation SDN architectures.
• Break down deployments into phases, manage dependencies, risks and deliverables across cross-functional teams.
• Triage migration issues across teams, assess traffic throttling, capacity, and latency impacts.
• Identify deployment velocity improvements; use AI to automate tasks and coordination across supply chains.
• Engage in community contributions to sustain Google’s culture and operations.
