Job summary

Delta Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Edge Band Operator for the Carlstadt, NJ facility on 2nd shift. You will set up and operate the edge banding machine to apply edge banding to wood doors, ensuring parts meet quality and dimensional standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of edge banding experience, and a background in door or cabinet manufacturing. You will work Monday–Friday, 3:15 PM–11:30 PM, in a full-time role under Production supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating an edge banding machine.
• Experience in door or cabinet manufacturing.
• Ability to read basic cut lists, tickets, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the edge banding machine for door production.
• Load materials and select the correct edge band tape/material for each job.
• Adjust machine settings for different materials and thicknesses.
• Inspect finished edges for glue lines, chipping, gaps, proper adhesion, and accurate trimming.
• Perform routine machine cleaning, minor maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Stage and safely move completed parts to the next production station.
• Read and follow basic cut lists, production tickets, and work orders.
• Report material shortages, machine issues, and quality concerns to the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality standards.
