Job summary

Armada in Bellevue, WA is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a skilled software engineering team building AI infrastructure and an edge/cloud platform. You will shape architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver a sovereign AI stack.

The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic delivery, emphasizing security, compliance, and scalable on-prem and cloud deployments. A strong background in cloud, containers, and CI/CD is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong technical background in software engineering principles.
• Hands-on cloud computing experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Define project requirements with product managers for on-prem deployment across modular form factors.
• Develop and execute plans for successful on-premise deployment and orchestration of Sovereign AI stack.
• Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and best practices within the engineering team.
• Drive infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD adoption.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards for sensitive data and systems.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, capacity, and costs for optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering goals with business objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard top engineering talent while promoting diversity and inclusion.
