Job summary

Hayden AI is seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering to design and guide the hardware for our computer vision and telemetry products. You will lead a team through concept to production, collaborating with mechanical, test, regulatory, and manufacturing groups to deliver robust Edge AI systems for vehicle applications.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, prototyping, validation, and continuous improvement, with a focus on automotive-grade hardware and system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in related space with 4+ years in management leading design/test engineers.
• Experience delivering hardware from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of Edge AI products including automotive grade edge computers and cameras.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, test, regulatory, manufacturing and installation teams.
• Develop product specifications, design circuits, perform design reviews and improve design.
• Generate working prototypes for proof of concept and customer demonstrations.
• Lead hands-on involvement with building, debugging, and maintaining product builds.
• Develop test plans and processes, execute testing and validate new designs.
• Own the electrical design portion of Edge AI system projects and pursue continuous improvements.
• Ensure project deliverables meet scope and budget.
• Partner with vendors and contract manufacturers to develop and manufacture parts/modules/products.
• Work with cross-functional teams to certify products for compliance.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineering team members with technical guidance and career growth.
