Job summary

Acuren is seeking Eddy Current NDT Level II Technicians to support our operation in Billings, Montana. Local candidates or open to relocating are preferred due to on-site nature.

As a Level II, you will set up and calibrate NDT equipment, conduct tests, interpret readings, and report results. Strong knowledge of UT and Eddy Current methods and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II UT and Eddy Current
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in test/report writing
• Based in Billings, MT or willing to relocate
• TWIC card preferred or able to obtain

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods
• Establish techniques for proper examination, adhering to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs/CRT/digital readouts and meters
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for Eddy Current NDT Level II Technicians to support our operation in Billings, Montana. Level II Technicians shall be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being utilized and exercise assigned responsibility for on‑the‑job training and guidance of assistants and Level I Technicians. We are currently seeking local candidates based in Billings, Montana or the surrounding area, or individuals who are open to relocating. While we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, local availability or a willingness to relocate is preferred due to the nature of this role.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job‑related tasks as assigned by management
