Job summary

Mortenson Family Dental is seeking an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our Fort Wright practice. This full-time role offers a $1,200 sign-on bonus and an hourly rate up to $29 based on experience. The position supports dentists and hygienists, conducts X-rays, and helps maintain efficient operations in a team-centered environment.

We value patient care, safety, and a positive work culture. 32 weekly hours and a commitment to high-quality dentistry are expected of the EDDA

Qualifications

• Have your EDDA or EFDA certification.
• Have your high school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain your radiology and CPR certification within the required timeframe.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Delivers clinically excellent dental care through education and quality treatment; assists dentists and hygienists in diagnosis via X-rays and clinical tests.
• Helps ensure efficient operations by seeking patient referrals, maintaining equipment, utilizing supplies cost-effectively, and posting patient charges.
• Follows CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and infection control.
• Completes all clinical notes according to practice guidelines before dismissing the patient.
• Prepares treatment room by sterilizing and delivering instruments; assists dentist with access and suction; passes instruments.
• Places and finishes permanent restorations; completes preliminary impressions.
