Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse for weekend coverage at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. The RN will supervise nursing staff on weekends and holidays, coordinate patient care, and ensure quality and continuity of care.

Summary

Registered Nurse responsible for general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel activity on shift, weekends, and holidays to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.

Employ the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementation of patient care.

Additional duties within scope of the role may be assigned.

Education / Experience

Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

License/Certification

Active RN licensure required; BLS required; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on area assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Position requires sitting 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday.

Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions.

Involves occasional lifting up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.

Continuous speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity; requires continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.

Environment protected from weather but not from temperature changes; minimal noise levels.

Exposure to computer work, occasional electrical shock risk, infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, and radiation.
