Connecticut Children’s seeks a Portal of Entry Utilization Management Nurse for a 32-hour on-site role in Hartford, CT. You will apply medical necessity criteria, review charts, and support defensi- ble admission status and appropriate hospital resource use.

With a BSN and CT RN license, you will collaborate with ED physicians and the care team, using EPIC, Word and Excel to document findings and facilitate patient flow. Pediatric UR/CM experience is preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Connecticut Nursing License.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.

Mansioni

• Perform chart reviews to identify quality, timeliness, and appropriateness of patient care.
• Adhere to CMS guidelines for utilization reviews and collaborate on discharge planning.
• Provide consultation to physicians on medical record documentation supporting level of care.
