Job summary

Sauk Prairie Healthcare is seeking an ED Technician (Per Diem) to provide high-quality care under RN supervision. You will document vitals, assist with daily living activities, and help with ambulation and procedures as needed.

Responsibilities include performing IV starts, phlebotomy, and wound care, while maintaining a safe, clean environment. Availability for a minimum of 4 shifts in a 6-week cycle is required.

Qualifications

• IV start and phlebotomy training within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred: Nursing Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Document vital signs and patient data accurately.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ambulation.
• Perform IV starts and venipuncture for specimens.
• Support wound care and dressing changes as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment and equipment.

You Belong Here.POSITION SPECIFICSTitle: ED TechnicianFTE: Per DiemSchedule: Must submit availability for a minimum of 4 shifts per 6-week scheduling period.Holiday Rotation: 2 holidays per year. 1 major and 1 minor.Weekend Rotation: N/AOn Call Requirements: N/APOSITION SUMMARYTo provide quality professional care, comfort, assistance with activities of daily living and rehabilitation for patients, under the supervision of a registered nurse.POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIESServe as a communication link between departments and other organizations using a variety of communication technologies.Participate in patient care interventions and personal care procedures for patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
