Job summary

You will support nurses and physicians, perform diagnostic tests, and care for acutely ill patients in a busy ED. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year ED technician or EMS experience preferred.
• Honesty, punctuality, and adherence to high ethical standards are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resuscitation, CPR, and emergency airway procedures.
• Perform venipuncture to obtain blood specimens.
• Support physicians and nurses with patient care tasks.
• Report patient status to supervisors and staff.
• Aid in patient transport between departments.
• Monitor vital signs and operate non-invasive monitoring systems.
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs and manage IV lines as directed.
• Assist with wound care, catheter insertion, and NG tubes.
• Position patients and apply splints or dressings as needed.
• Instruct patients on crutch and cane use.
