Overlake Hospital Medical Center is hiring a Per Diem Emergency Department Technician for the new Off-Campus Emergency Department in Lynnwood. The role involves direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing point-of-care testing, drawing blood, and transporting specimens in a fast-paced ED setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and applicable WA licenses (NAC/NAR or MA-P).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification required on hire.
• WA NAC or NAR license required by hire.
• WA MA-P preferred; 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing.
• Obtain blood samples and transport specimens.
• Support 24/7 ED operations at the Off-Campus Emergency Department.
