Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Emergency Services Technician for a per diem role across the Waterville and Augusta Campuses. You will perform basic patient care under medical staff, greet patients, route calls, and assist with procedures such as ECGs and specimen collection.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience leading a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • CNA/Maine CNA, EMT license, or MOAB certification as listed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic patient care activities within the scope of practice. Assists patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs and reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
  • Greets patients and visitors. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls. Calls codes, pages, and overhead announcements as requested.
  • Performs technical procedures as delegated by medical staff, including ECGs, splinting, and the specimen collection.
  • Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.

The Role: Emergency Services Technician

Provides emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of medical staff in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

The Opportunity:

This position has a per diem schedule and will work in both the Waterville and Augusta Campuses.

Compensation Information:

$19.65 - $34.39

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
